Seat Belt Wearers
For maths we did a statical enquiry. We choose to look at people who wear and don't wear seat belts. On Wednesday 14th of May 2014 between 8:30am to 9:00am. Our problem is that people drive around schools without wearing seat belts. Our Prediction was that 100% of people would be wearing seat belts around schools. Our prediction was incorrect with 67% of people wearing seat belts and a shocking result of 33% not wearing seat belts. This was out of 63 cars so 42 cars were wearing seat belts and 21 cars weren't wearing seat belts.
Heres a pie graph of our results.
We would like to confirm that this was when the people were driving the cars on the road not when they were parked on the side of the road.
The Green represents the people who weren't wearing seat belts.
The Blue represents the people who were wearing seat belts.
