Replanting with Forest and Bird

On May 6 we biked to Tapu Bay to help Mr Paul Mosley restore original native plants to the sand banks. We arrived at Tapu Bay at around 10.15 then we got stuck in to work. We split up into small groups to plant different plants. It was really challenging digging because of all the roots in the ground. But we ended  up planting quite a variety of plants. We were all very parched and tired at the end but a nice refreshing cold fizzy definitely helped. The bike ride back was tough. We were all really tired after we arrived at school but it was  definitely rewarding. I think we did a pretty good job digging and planting  Tapu Bay needed some greenery. Now it looks fantastic. All it took was some nice plants and the help from the wacky Riwaka kids.
